50th Surprise Party + Wedding at the Mansion at Bretton Woods

When writing blogs we attempt to put in thoughtful information and guidelines that clients may use when planning their special events. For the next few blogs, we will take a different approach and highlight some of our recent events and what was unique and special about each. This information is equally as important as it can give clients some distinctive ideas as well. It will also give us the opportunity to showcase our customers and thank them for allowing us to be a special and important part of their day.
We hosted Skip’s 50th Surprise Party. And I would have to declare it was definitely a surprise when I saw the look on his face! His wife decided to go all out and chose a party package 1 with the video dance party/karaoke option along with up lighting. The video dance party is always a hit. The guests enjoy seeing the newest videos and really get a kick out of the old school videos as well!
On Saturday, we were invited by Amanda and Josh to The Mansion at Bretton Woods where we hosted the ceremony, cocktails, and reception. The request from the bride and groom was simple: set the tone for a relaxing, classy atmosphere. The Mansion is set up perfectly for this type of laid back reception. Guests were able to mingle on the grand porch or spend time with friends or family inside in one of the many relaxing rooms. After a first dance to Marry Me by The Piano Tribute Players an intimate non-traditional reception ensued. They decided to forgo all of the traditional reception elements. Dancing was encouraged when the guests were ready-nothing forced or overly exuberant. The reception ended on a high note with the final song “The Time (Dirty Bit) by The Black Eyed Peas” when all the guests gathered to celebrate Amanda and Joshua.
