7 Wedding Tips for Your Special Day
When it comes to planning a wedding, there are A LOT of details that go into it. To help with the process, we have compiled a list of 7 wedding tips that will help make your day special and unique.
Wedding Tip Number 1
In recent years, brides have given their bridesmaids the option to pick out the dress they want as long as it is in the same color scheme. Keeping with this concept, why not allow them to pick their own bouquet designs. We’re not saying pay for different flower arrangements. Instead, why not save some money (we know how hard it can be to stomach the cost of flowers), and have a girls’ night in where each of your bridesmaids make their own arrangement using the same flowers. This way you save some money, you get to hang out with your friends and get crafty, and each girls’ personal style can shine through.
Wedding Tip Number 2
Having a photo booth at your wedding? Have the attendant print out an extra strip each time and have guests glue or tape that into a blank book and sign a message next to their photo strip. It is a fun twist on a traditional wedding element.
Wedding Tip Number 3
Go through some old wedding photos of your parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/whomever and find some of your favorite poses. Ask your wedding photographer if they can emulate this pose with you and your significant other. It not only makes for great memories, but also for a great gift.
Wedding Tip Number 4
At your bridal shower, have your guests write their address on an envelope. This will save you time when you are writing out thank you notes and it will also ensure that you don’t miss anyone.
Wedding Tip Number 5
People love to give advice, and they also like to talk about their own wedding. Ask those close to you what the one thing is they regret not doing at their wedding. This will help get your creative juices flowing and also guarantee that you don’t have the same regrets.
Wedding Tip Number 6
The saying goes “beauty before pain” but that doesn’t have to be the case on your wedding day. Ladies, break the shoes in! Wear them a couple of times around the house, try dancing around in them, walk up and down the steps. You don’t want to be surprised with blisters or aching feet. We also suggest bringing some comfy backups for the reception.
Wedding Tip Number 7
The last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel stressed. This is the day you have been waiting for. Pick a friend or family member you trust and put them in charge of your phone the day of the wedding. This way you can focus on the actual day itself and not have to answer people’s questions which may stress you out, such as “Where’s the venue at again, I forget.”
Great tips! I got married in 2014 and could have used these!
