Fourth of July Party Ideas – Food, Drinks, Music, + Games

Fireworks, hot dogs, hamburgers, friends and family. Put it all together and you have a Fourth of July party! This year you can throw your own Fourth of July parties by adding some special extras to the time tested ingredients.

Make some fun decorations to get everyone in the mood for a party. Embrace the red, white, and blue theme. Get the whole family involved in making decorations like glitter stars to hang around the backyard. Create red, white, and blue paper flowers to put on the tables.

To make the food for your party more outdoor friendly package hamburger and French fries in to-go boxes. This will keep the bugs away from the food and protect the food incase of minor spills. Instead of providing traditional sodas to drink cool down with a fun concoction made from popsicles and ginger ale. To make it more adult-friendly add sparkling wine instead of soda.

For dessert make mini apple pies baked into glass jars. Guests can bring them home as party favors or enjoy an easy to eat dessert. Don’t forget the fruit salad! Instead of putting the fruit together in a bowl create fruit kabobs guests can eat with one hand.

Create a Fourth of July playlist. Fill the playlist with popular hits, classic Fourth of July songs, and summer oldies. A playful mix will keep everyone in the party upbeat and fun.

Keep the kids, and other guests, occupied with fun party games. Set up a poolside volleyball game, sack races, or balloon toss. Give out small prizes for winners of the game like mini American flags or sparkles to light when the sun goes down!
