Pinterest 2018 Trend Report

2018 has already started with a bang here on the East Coast, or a bomb cyclone to be more precise. Within the first few days of 2018, our precious Jersey Shore was slammed with blizzard like conditions, leaving our early year brides with a winter wonderland resembling that of Alaska. Sure, this weather has us dreaming of sunny, warm days where our brides and grooms get to say their vows alfresco; but these snow days also gave us the opportunity to nose dive into Pinterest’s 2018 Trend Report.

If you aren’t familiar with Pinterest’s trend report, allow us to introduce it to you. It is Pinterest’s very own report of trend predictions for the year in their top categories. Cue the excitement. Yes, Pinterest has made wedding planning a million times easier by highlighting the top trends in beauty, fashion, and celebrations.

So what concepts are trending for 2018? Well we saw some hints that bold truly is beautiful, especially when it comes to eyes. Bright neon hues are ideal for making a statement, along with luscious lash trends stomping out the eyebrow obsession.

For the couple that wants to stay on trend in 2018, Pinterest’s trend report suggests vegan options. We’re talking vegan desserts, healthy drinks, and a meatless taco. After all, you don’t want your guests to be in a glutenous food coma do to fried, fatty foods.

Now onto flowers. Succulents are here to stay, and we are pretty pleased with that. But instead of showcasing the adorable little plants in bouquets or as wedding favors, Pinterest is reporting (yes, this is headline news) that succulent wreaths will be a thing this year. We can’t help but imagine a giant succulent wreath as the backdrop for the vow exchange!
