Summer Party Ideas - Start planning your Summer parties

Summer is a great excuse to have friends and family over for a celebration, whether it’s for a Holiday, Graduation party, or just because. You don’t need an event to take advantage of the nice weather! Get everyone together for a backyard BBQ picnic, pool party, or outdoor movie. Creating a theme for your party will help keep you more focused when it comes to planning the actual details.

One of our favorite ways to enjoy the summer nights with friends is by hosting an outdoor movie. You don’t need a fancy inflatable screen, using a white sheet or even the side of the house will work fine as long as you have a projector. Set out a couple of blankets, lawn chairs, or lounge chairs for guests to sit on. As the sun begins to set, start getting the movie ready. Make sure everyone has plenty of snacks. Pop a few bags of popcorn to share and set out a candy table so guests can munch on their favorite snacks while enjoying the show!

Want to throw a summer BBQ? Make sure you can enjoy the sunshine as well by preparing food ahead of time. One of the hardest parts when serving food outside in the summer is the bugs. Prevent bugs by serving individual sides in small mason jars. The jars are inexpensive and can be found at many grocery stores and craft stores. Spoon out servings of sides like potato salad and coleslaw and keep in the fridge until it’s time to serve. Barbecuing for summer parties in very common, but it’s hard to keep track of how everyone wants their meat cooked. Make it easier for everyone to pick what they want by placing a place card with how each meat is cooked in front of the plate. That way everyone can easily grab the rare or medium-well piece of meat they like.
