Take advantage of the season by making Winter your theme

The turkey has been stuffed, Christmas songs are playing all over the radio and Black Friday sales have come and gone. The Holidays are officially here. This is the time of year where we take the time to get together with friends and family. It’s the perfect time to throw a party! Take advantage of the season by making Winter your theme. Having a Winter Wonderland party allows you to really take in the beauty of the winter season. No matter what holiday you are celebrating, we can all celebrate being together.
Create the illusion of a snow-covered scene. They call it Winter White for a reason. Make everything white – from the table cloths to the table settings. Place white candles around the room. Make paper snowflakes to hang from the ceiling for a budget-friendly decoration. You can even make the food white from white hot chocolate to snowflake cookies! White string lights can be placed around the room for extra lighting and to look like icicles. Guests will feel like they have been transported to a “wintry fairy land.”
If you don’t want to fully commit to the all white theme add touches of the season around the house. You can create a simple centerpiece by placing mason jars with tea lights inside of them in a small box with fake pieces of pine trees and pine cones. Fill a mason jar with water and cranberries and a floating candle for an easy touch of color. Place bowls filled with holiday colored candies. Fill clear vases with colorful ornaments for a pop of color. You can also hang candy canes (real or larger fake decorative candy canes) around the room.
