THE OAKESIDE MANSION – STEPHANIE & PETE

wedding dj in nj

One of the great things about being a wedding DJ in NJ is being a part of so many fall weddings. With autumn just around the corner, we’re reminded of Pete and Stephanie’s beautiful wedding reception at The Oakside Mansion in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

The Oakeside Mansion is a charming, private estate surrounded by 4-acres of serene gardens. Equipped with lovely details including majestic chandeliers and a staircase that makes for the perfect backdrop to any wedding photo, a fall wedding here is truly a dream come true.

As always, our mission was to create excitement. And this wedding was no different. We started the evening by introducing the wedding party to One More Time by Daft Punk. In my opinion, this is a great song to start any party!

Then, Pete and Stephanie made their grand entrance as husband and wife to the smooth sound of Electric Feel by MGMT. Immediately after, we got all 150 guests on the dance floor with an icebreaker song, The Twist, by Chubby Checker.

As the guests made their way back to their seats, we slowed the pace down just a bit. Pete and Stephanie’s first dance was accompanied by the sultry sounds of Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. This song is definitely one of our favorite choices for a first dance.

The evening continued with It’s a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong as Stephanie danced with her father, and Pete danced with his mother. Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole followed as the bride danced with the groom’s mother, and the groom danced with the bride’s mother. These shared dances are so lovely to see. It’s every parent’s dream come true to experience a moment like this.

After the welcome speech & toasts, dinner was accompanied by a selection of modern music. But towards the end of dinner, we once again built up the excitement by doing a centerpiece giveaway. After this, everyone was ready to dance again.
Before the evening ended, Pete and Stephanie cut their cake to When I’m Sixty Four by The Beatles, and we also celebrated with an anniversary dance set to Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray. A couple who was married for more than 60 years do the honor!
And at last, all good parties must come to an end. So we closed the evening with a final dance, I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness.

Congrats again to Pete and Stephanie, it was an honor to entertain at your wedding.
