TIPS AND IDEAS FOR PLANNING A WEDDING AFTER-PARTY
Just because the DJ called the last dance at your wedding reception, and your venue has a firm stop time, it doesn’t mean the excitement has to end. Keep the fun going with an epic after-party. After all, this will be one of the happiest events of your life, so why not keep the celebration going? Here are a few wedding after-party ideas and tips for you to consider:
- Night club or lounge – If your friends and family are a late-night crowd, call ahead of time and reserve a designated area at a nearby club or lounge. If you’re in the New Jersey area, specifically Monmouth County, you may want to check out The Watermark Asbury Park.
- Food truck –Coordinate with your reception venue and hire a local food truck to serve guests post reception. You can hire a food truck that specializes in sweets and desserts, or you may choose late-night munchies, like pizza or tacos. After a night of dancing and drinking, who wouldn’t love the idea of a post-party snack? If you’re from New Jersey, we recommend Jersey Roll and Lexylicious for sweat treats.
- Brunch – If you don’t run with the late-night crowd, but would like an event after your wedding, you may want to consider hosting a brunch. Brunches are a great opportunity to spend time with your family and friends as Mr. and Mrs. Ask your guests to RSVP to the brunch when you send out your invites. An event like this is also a great opportunity to spend extra time with guests who may be visiting from out of town. If you’re from the New Jersey area, we suggest looking into Molly Pitcher Inn.
- Backyard BBQ – Welcome guests into your home or a nearby country house with a laidback, backyard bar-b-cue. This is the perfect post-wedding event especially when the weather is nice. You may choose to keep the décor light and hire a local caterer for the food. We recommend Qcrew BBQ Catering Company if you’re in New Jersey.
