Yes, it may be cold when it snows, but it also creates a beautiful white backdrop for photos. If it has recently snowed in your area, find an unmarred area of snow and draw a heart in the snow. The two of you can then stand next to the heart or inside the heart. You can then use the picture as a Save the Date card and print the date of your wedding inside the heart. Stage a snowball fight between the two of you. If you’re not afraid to get a little messy, get down in the snow and make snow angels. Take a picture of the two of your making a snowman. If you are a more sporty couple, lace up those ice skates and get a picture of the two of you gliding along the ice rink.

Since it is so cold outside, take a picture of the two of you wrapped up in a blanket in the snow. If you don’t want to go out in the cold, you can still use winter props in your engagement photo. Want to be a little silly? Have your photographer wrap the two of you in colored Christmas lights. It’s sure to result in an adorable picture. Or take a picture of the two of you staying warm with a cup of hot chocolate walking in a “winter wonderland”.

Remember to have fun during your photo shoot. You will probably want to use one of these photos to announce to all your friends and family your wedding date. Let these photos be a representation of the two of you as a couple.
